[Online] Teaching critical thinking with generative AI: an afternoon workshop with Blake Kanewischer Online
**This is the second iteration of this workshop and will be held online instead of in-person.**
The Library is pleased to be hosting an afternoon workshop on AI with SAIT's very own Blake Kanewischer. Log on to Teams with your lunch and get ready to learn how you can incorporate generative AI (i.e. ChatGPT) into your work and teaching.
"This presentation explores the potential of generative AI chatbots as a learning aid for students. It demonstrates four key areas for evaluation: the ability of AI to adapt to student needs and generate customized learning paths; its capacity to assess student performance and progress; its potential to stimulate critical thinking and problem-solving skills; and its role in encouraging students to learn from dialogue experiences. You will learn how to create formative assessment tools, design case studies (with answers!), and develop interactive dialogues."
Blake is a member of faculty with SAIT's School of Business and is currently working on his PhD in Management and the study of EDI implications of AI.
