Writing Centre In-Person

Writing effectively and making presentations with confidence are two keys to a successful academic experience. Book an appointment, in-person or email tutoring@sait.ca, to meet with a tutor for support with a writing assignment, group project or class presentation. Appointments are available Tuesdays between 10 am and 6 pm, are typically 60 mins duration and take place at the Writing Centre in the Reg Erhardt Library.

The tutor can:

  • help clarify assignments
  • teach you how to brainstorm and outline writing assignments
  • give feedback on the organization of your writing or presentation drafts
  • teach you how to correct errors in grammar and help with sentence structure
  • show you methods for documenting sources and avoiding plagiarism
  • show you how to proofread and edit work
  • facilitate group projects that involve reports
  • provide feedback on visual presentations (e.g. PowerPoint).
